U First Therapies offers three different services:
1. Therapeutic Psychotherapy – usually known as: ‘psychotherapy’, ‘Counselling’ or simply ‘Therapy’
2. Clinical Hypnotherapy – or simply ‘hypnosis’
3. A combination of Therapeutic Psychotherapy and Clinical Hypnotherapy
There are many kinds of psychotherapy, the form I use is called Integrative Transactional Analysis; for ease let’s just call it Transactional Analysis or simply TA.
Five reasons why people come into therapy?
- Simply put, everyone has mental health; however, some people may currently be overwhelmed by a life experience that destructively engulfs their happiness, wellbeing and mental health.
- Other people may be experiencing long-term emotional and/or behavioural difficulty that constantly interferes with their day-to-day happiness, wellbeing and mental health.
- Yet others may be experiencing a difficult-to-name ‘feeling’, that ‘…there is more to life…’ than they are currently experiencing, and they need to explore this ‘feeling’ to regain a meaningful sense of contentment and wellbeing.
- Therapy also enables people to learn how they became the person they are today and offers a safe space to reflect and make new informed decisions for their life and their future.
- Finally, the facts are 1-in-4 people will experience a mental health problem (McManus et al, 2009) and 1-in-6 people are experiencing common mental health difficulties such as anxiety and depression in any given week (McManus et al, 2016) and want to find a way back to happiness, wellbeing and mental health.
