Therapy Options

Online Counselling Question: Why Online Counselling? Answer: Covid!   At first, I wasn't a big fan of moving from face-to-face counselling. But now, after switching to online counselling, due to Covid/Lockdown, I'm a bit of a convert, here's Why:   Online is different yet just as good as face-to-face counselling, and it is cost effective and convenient for the client too, here's why: I no overheads, I no longer pay for business premises, rooms or travel expenses to and from work ! This is why my fees are lower than many other therapists, because I've passed my savings onto clients. Clients make additional savings too, on their own travel costs and commute time. It's simple to attend a 60 minute phone or Zoom appointment and the technology does all of the rest...   It's a great way of being in therapy too, because: The online 'therapy space' is safe, secure and confidential, and it's less intimidating, no waiting rooms, which allows people to relax, be more relational and feel in control of the...

Ego States – PAC Model

A few things about me

A few things about me: I am proud to have been born in Hull. Like many, after leaving school I ventured out to discover my place in the world. I held down a couple of low paid jobs until eventually pursuing a dream to become a professional performer and attended a well-known stage school ‘down south’. After three years of study, I began a long and successful career as a performer and teacher, travelling to many parts of the UK, and meeting lots of different folk from all walks of life. Along the way, I’ve picked up a First Class Honours Degree, a teaching qualification, and a Masters degree, together with, Therapeutic Psychotherapy, Transactional Analysis and Clinical Hypnotherapy qualifications. Now and again life has thrown me a few curve-balls. From run-of-the-mill niggles to those occasional and often unexpected problems that I’ve experienced as overwhelming. I’ve had my share of emotional wounds to make sense of, and that’s where therapy can make a genuine difference...
